A painting by the artist James Foort called: Dancing Man

Dancing Man

When I couldn’t dance, I didn’t. When I might have sung I wouldn’t. There is much to dance for and much to sing about. I sometimes think how the planes striking targets in war might show a better result by broadcasting music; nor need it be the best. That would lead us to dancing. That would be wonderful. When singing and dancing are joined, the best feelings from that could be tested against alternative options. In testing results, what is done by violence would, surely, be further from love than dancing and singing.
