Who among us has not felt the possibility of a love so pure and dedicated that the best we know about it would endure for a lifetime?
In this painting, the test of our fitness lies in the acceptances of how we differ from one another. I use skin color, gender difference between a black man, barely visible, and a white woman, sheltered by leaves. That could as easily be intelligence, temperament, or any other characteristics separating them, knowing that we are equally human and share a world that belongs to all of us.
