A painting by the artist James Foort called: Margaret

Margaret

Margaret has been my steady companion for 45 years. Much of what she is to me is inherent in what I have been able to do. I can live my life in my own way. We love each other. We teach each other. We go our separate ways as we respect the right of each and others to go in theirs. Much more could be said but that is enough.

When she had to go to Victoria from where we are in Vancouver, I impulsively went to my paints with a canvas ready and painted the picture using a j-cloth. The picture took me two hours to complete, a technique since repeated in “From Sight to Touch”, likewise, a two hour highly concentrated event, time dictated by the event and materials used.
