A painting by the artist James Foort called: Susie

Susie

One of my grand daughters sent a drawing that had the expression of Susie in it. There are many directions for a painter to take. The innocence in what children do challenges artists to achieve something comparable. For me, the treatment of the eyes said it. I added the thick thighs of adulthood and the childlike hands to make the effect suit; the dent in the towel, the water on the foot and the petal stripped from the flower as expected.
